Lake Geneva's Annual Safety Town

June 18 through June 22, 2012, Lake Geneva Middle School

 

Safety town is an early childhood safety education program designed for children who are at least 5 years of age and entering 5K kindergarten in the Fall.

 

During the 15 hour program (3 hours per day for 5 days), children learn safety behavior under the guidance of certified teachers and qualified professionals such as firefighters and police personnel.

Children learn safety lessons through role playing, games, art projects, stories, movies, field trips. Learning experiences are designed to be fun and non-threatening, so children look forward to every day of Safety Town.

The program has been in existence in Lake Geneva for over 32 years. Now many Safety Town graduates are sending their own children to Safety Town!!

We are happy to announce the Fourth Edition of the Geneva Lake Women's Association Cookbook,

"A Taste of Lake Geneva!"

People everywhere have enjoyed our member's and friend's recipes in our previous cookbooks, and sales from our last edition alone allowed GLWA to distribute over $20,000 to charities throughout Walworth County. 

We are currently accepting advertising information from

community businesses to be included in the latest edition of our cookbook.

Please consider placing an ad for your business in our cookbook!  The more ads in the book, the more funds we are able to return to our community.

The Geneva Lake Women's Association is made up of local women who love to have a great time raising funds to donate to very worthy causes, including the Twin Oaks Homeless Shelter, the YMCA Dream Team, Lakeland Animal Shelter, Agape House for Girls, local food pantries, and many, many more.

Membership is easy, and the time you spend using your talents to help are always very much appreciated by all.

We are an organization who thrives on having a ball doing what we love to do - generating awareness, enjoying fellowship and, of course, raising money, through a variety of events throughout the year.

We also enjoy several Member events during the year where we have a wonderful time getting to know each other, and we especially enjoy welcoming new members to our group.
