The Fourth of July is a red, white, and blue event that provides delight to the American people with brilliant and thunderous fireworks. However, we recognize how challenging it can be for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD.)
If you know of a veteran, check in with them throughout this weekend to see how they are doing. Let them know you are there for them, as they were for us.
Also, keep an eye on those fur babies!
Don't forget, Tomorrow (Wednesdays) the Walworth County Food Pantry and Diaper Bank continues to provide baby diapers and formula for families in need. Also incontinence products are available. Visit their website to find our more information.
On July 11, there will be a picnic and general meeting for the Red, White, and GLWA. Please be sure to confirm your attendance and specify whether you'll be bringing an appetizer or dessert on the EVITE that was sent to your email address. If you did not receive one, please let us know.
This year's picnic will cost $25 and take place at the Bottle Shop in Lake Geneva.
We appreciate prepayment as GLWA needs to plan and pay for this event ahead of time.
Options to pay are:
1. Using the eventbrite link below. Please note there is a processing fee added to this option when you check out.
2. If you use Zelle, the Geneva Lake Women’s Association now accepts this as payment. Please inbox us for more information on where to send that payment.
3. Checks and cash can be accepted at the meeting itself, but if you choose this, please be sure to attend if you RSVPd, so we can prepare and plan for the correct amount of attendees.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
