Do you feel you don’t have time for a full on committee for one of exciting events? Well we have sub-committees you can join also!
Nancy, Holly and Deb are our hotel gals who are making plans to find the best hotel deals for Women’s Weekend Lake Geneva 2023! If any area hotels want to host our Women's Weekend Lake Geneva attendees, send us a direct message and we will connect you with one of these lovely ladies!
GLWA was honored to be able to donate $1,000 to the Walworth County Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Friday morning. This Thanksgiving many individuals will be able to enjoy a warm holiday meal at Waters Edge in Delavan, and meals will also be delivered to people's homes, thanks to numerous organizations and businesses.
You can learn how you can become involved as a donor by reading the message posted on the organization's Facebook page, which we have shared.
Part of the fun of being in GLWA is raising money for our community. The other part of the fun is the committee meetings. Sometimes they may be at a member's house where we get to meet the significant others and play with the pets, and other days we are at fun restaurants and venues.
Yesterday the Ladies Day Luncheon girls met up at Geneva National , and last night the Women's Weekend crew met up at Tuscan Bar and Grill. And rumor has it a couple of members attended a chamber event in between those two. And there were a couple other meet ups prior this week at The Bottle Shop. (Sorry, we only have a photo of the Women's weekend meetup)
Consider joining a committee; we have plenty of options to choose from.

GLWA board members Pat and Cathy presented the YMCA with a $1,000 check as part of the "All 5 Things" winter closet donation. Brody Golz (pictured with Mom Jami) suggested it because kids need boots, waterproof gloves, hats, snow pants, and jackets to play on the blacktop at school. The YMCA is a collection spot until 10/10 for shopping on 10/15. GLWA proudly supports these efforts.
Earlier this week you should had received your eventbrite invitation to our general November meeting.
This is NOT a paid event. We have decided to send all our meeting invitations from eventbrite instead of evite to streamline our processes. You will still need to RSVP through Eventbrite, even though its free, so we can get a Happy Friday!
Your email invitation to our general November meeting should have arrived earlier this week through eventbrite.
This meeting does not cost... To simplify our procedures, we have chosen to send all of our meeting invitations using Eventbrite rather than evite. Even though the meeting is free, you must still RSVP so that we can receive an accurate head count.
If you would like to receive a invite, please send us a private message with your email address. Thank you!
We held our annual Harvest Dinner on Monday night to recognize our past GLWA presidents. The Hawks View Country Club offered a lovely venue, delectable cuisine, and friendly staff! We thank them for providing us with the perfect night.
We thank our members, guests, and GLWA presidents for a fantastic evening!
We also wish Oshi, our unofficial mascot/honorary member, a farewell as he moves on to his second phase of training as a service dog.
Heads up GLWA fans! Or is it pumpkins up?
If you haven't already met her, Dori from Studio Dori has been present at our most recent meetings. She also provided the lovely pumpkins for last night's Harvest Dinner, the Ladies Day Luncheon, and even Women's Weekend 2022, where she demonstrated her glass sketching abilities.
Tomorrow Dori will be on the 95.1 WIIL Rock morning show tomorrow for ASK A PUMPKIN LADY between 8:15-8:30. Be sure to tune into WIIL ROCK - THEE ROCK STATION - 95.1 @95wiilrock
